Metamorfinca is our family-owned and operated farm, retreat center and gathering space. We are raising our family here while caring for this mountain sanctuary as an evolving home for rest, learning, celebration and meaningful connection.
Our inspiration is simple: to offer people living at the pace of the modern world a place to slow down, return to nature and reconnect with the elements. Our path has been influenced by Indigenous teachers and ancestral traditions generously shared with us, guidance we hold with respect, gratitude and an ongoing responsibility to listen and learn.

Metamorfinca is about 25 minutes north of Uvita, 30 minutes south of San Isidro and approximately 3.5 hours from San José. The mountain setting offers easy access to waterfalls, beaches and the southern Pacific coast.

We are tucked into the mountains of San Luis. Allow extra time for the final stretch and download your route before leaving the main road, as cell service can vary.
Plan approximately 3.5 hours by car, depending on traffic and weather. A private transfer or rental vehicle can be arranged for your group.

From Uvita & the coast
Take the San Josecito road toward Pulpería Don Emilio, then continue into the mountains toward San Luis and follow Google Maps to Metamorfinca.

Mountain-road travel
A 4x4 is strongly recommended, especially during the rainy season. Please arrive in daylight when possible and contact us in advance for transportation support.
